Clearing a loft yourself means hours on a ladder passing boxes down one at a time. Our team does it safely and quickly — we bring our own ladders and lighting, board-walk carefully across joists where needed, and carry everything down and out to the van.

Is it safe to clear a loft that isn't boarded?
Yes — our team uses crawl boards to spread weight across the joists and works carefully around wiring and pipework. It is far safer than balancing on joists yourself, and it is something we do week in, week out.
Can you remove an old cold water tank?
Usually, yes. Redundant tanks can often be cut down and removed through the hatch. We will confirm when we see it — occasionally very large tanks pre-date the hatch and need a different approach, and we will tell you honestly if so.
Will you check boxes before disposing of them?
Yes, as standard. Lofts are where photographs, paperwork and keepsakes end up, so we open and check boxes as we clear, setting aside anything that looks personal or valuable for you to review.
How long does a loft clearance take?
Most domestic lofts are cleared in one to three hours depending on how full they are and how easy the access is. We will give you a time estimate with your quote.
Can you clear the loft as part of a full house clearance?
